Get your cameras at the ready, as this trip will take you to remote locations set amongst breath taking landscapes. Queenstown is one of New Zealand’s top visitor destinations and there’s no better way to see it than in a campervan. Pick up your Wicked Camper from our Queenstown depot and follow the road to Te Anau, as it whips around beautiful Lake Wakatipu and beyond...
Queenstown sits on the shore of Lake Wakatipu, with the alpine ranges chilling (quite literally) in the background. A walk through the town and you’ll discover endless activities; those to suit adrenaline junkies and for those who just want to chill out and relax. There’s skiing in the winter, bungy jumping, sky diving, canyon swinging, jet boating etc etc going on all year round man.
Head up the gondola and ride the go carts at the top (pack some bananas...shotgun being yoshi). As night falls, go explore the cool bars littered with more backpackers than you can shake a stick at. Check out the Ice Bar and take advantage of our 2 for 1 deal, exclusive to Wicked Campers only!
There’s an awesome pizza joint too. Check out ‘The Cow’, on Cow Lane. Perfect for loved ones or single sluts (I’m referring to both sexes, don’t freak out). It gets cosy, you may have to share a table. Sexy.
On the topic of food, I’m going to dedicate this whole section to the Ferg Burger.
Now this is an infamous joint situated in the centre of Queenstown. Open all hours, it’s extremely popular with backpackers and locals alike.
Awesome staff and quick service, I highly recommend dropping in here for a feed. Plus, you should reward yourself after doing some crazy shit like bungy jumping at the Kawarau Bridge or pissing your pants at the Shotover Canyon swing.
You’ll find the burgers at: 42 Shotover St, Queenstown Town Centre
Cruising in your Wicked Camper past the sickest mountain ranges and lakeside vistas, life couldn’t get much better eh? Rolling countryside soon leads you to the shores of Lake te Anau, the biggets lake on the South Island. On the western side, watch the lake disappear into the densely forested Murchison Mountains.
After a night at Lake Te Anau, set off on another beauty of a drive towards Milford Sound. Milford Sound, attractive and seductive, (just like a milf) is a must stop destination.
Hop on an overnight boat cruise and explore all the luxurious beautiful curves that the milf, sorry, Milford has to offer. Best yet, go over on a Mitre Peak Cruise and grab 15% off (Wicked customers only!).
The spectacular geography and wildlife of Milford Sound is best experienced up-close on an overnight boat cruise. Steep cliffs rise out of deep blue water whilst sexy seals sunbathe on rocks. Awesome.
Situated on the west coast of the South Island, Milford Sound is a fusion of spectacular natural features with amazing visual cues around every corner. Having been described as the ‘eighth wonder of the world’, the breathtaking mountain peaks tower the sky, with cascading waterfalls crashing into the water.
If you enjoy hiking or trekking, the Milford Track is for you. The track begins at the northern end of Lake Te Anau and winds its way through some of the world’s most vivid wilderness. Your journey ends with a boat trip from Sandfly Point to the Milford Sound wharf.
